Barcode Automation, inc. engineered a complete access control system made up of two essential components: a reader and a label to read.

All BAi Readers are precision laser optic systems that look for specific proprietary encryptions we developed and embed into every BAi label. This makes them a premium access control credential.

Unlike standard Barcodes which are typically UPC or EAC codes our proprietary format is more robust, more secure, and importantly not published anywhere. This prevents any 3rd party from attempting to access your community with a generic barcode reader.

Furthermore, our Readers will not be able to read any photocopies or images of the barcode labels.

Did you know that RFID can be cloned?

A frequent misconception and concern is can't anyone copy a BAi Decal. We hope this article completely alleviated your concerns because BAi Decals cannot be cloned or copied in any functional way. However, numerous sites will now happily clone RFID tags:

  • Mr. Keyfob will duplicate UHF RFID tags from popular access control manufacturer's including AWID, Maxtek, Tres, TagMaster, Dolphin, and others.
  • Sumokey will actually rent out the cloning hardware to anyone that wants it.
