BA-440 Maximum Endurance Output Board

We engineered the ME Output board to focus on what's most important—absorbing powerful lightning strikes.

Our original BA-440 Verifier Output and newer BA-440 High Endurance (HE) Output board, include advanced diagnostic functions. These LED indicator lights assist technicians with testing the Wiegand communications in the field. However, the circuitry required for them, also provides more pathways for lightning and other power surges to travel. On our new ME Output board we removed these diagnostic features, streamlining the design entirely for maximum surge protection. We also used more robust components to ensure the remaining pathways can withstand repeated, powerful electrical spikes.

We subjected the BA-440 Maximum Endurance Output board to repeated 500,000 volt electrical spikes, over a dozen times on a single board, without seeing any electrical damage.

The BA-440 Maximum Endurance Output board is the only component not covered under our warranty, as it is the surge protection for the BA-440. However, if any power spikes manage to get through the BA-440-ME-Output and damage any part of the BA-440 Decoder, that damage is completely covered by our Manufacturer's Warranty. All BAi Readers are available with 2 year or 5 year warranties, and all BAi Readers now come standard with our BA-440-ME-Output.
